Vinings
Situated alongside the Chattahoochee River and bordering Fulton County lies one of Cobb County’s most upscale neighborhoods, Vinings. Located inside the Perimeter, Vinings offers a blend of traditional, Colonial-style, contemporary and modern homes as well as historic charm in the thriving downtown area. Originally named Paces, this unincorporated area was well-known for the Paces Ferry, which provided passage across the Chattahoochee River in the 1830s. When the railroad came to town, the principal architect William H. Vining oversaw the construction of the railroad bridge. Supplies for the bridge were sent to “Vining’s station,” and the name was soon adopted. Many of the larger homes in the Vinings area are located in picturesque, tree-lined neighborhoods off Woodland Brook Drive or on the opposite side of Paces Ferry Road in the Cochise neighborhood. The area also includes luxury townhomes, cluster homes and a handful of high-rise condo buildings on the outskirts with breathtaking skyline views. Located in the heart of Vinings is Vinings Jubilee, a popular boutique retail destination with a wide assortment of shops, restaurants and a Thursday afternoon farmers market. The Old Vinings Inn and Orient Express’ unique train car serve as landmarks in the area. Vinings offers easy access to Buckhead, Home Depot Headquarters, the Battery Atlanta, Truist Park (Home of the Braves), I-285, I-75 and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Cobb County’s low taxes and excellent nearby schools are also a strong draw.Sorry we are experiencing system issues. Please try again.
